Are you looking for a great choir with open-minded people who enjoy singing together? Then you're in luck, because we're looking for new tenor and bass members for the new semester. Depending on how many new basses and tenors join, places will also become available in soprano and alto. So you can also get in touch if you sing soran or alto and we will let you know how things stand. Come along to the rehearsal on 07.04. at 19:30! We meet in the hall of the Dietrich-Bonhoeffer-Haus, Königstraße 88. If you come to the taster rehearsal, please register briefly by email (esgchorbonn@gmx.de) so that we have an overview for planning purposes. If you know your voice group, please add it. Whether you already have some choir experience or are completely new - we look forward to seeing lots of new faces!
- We usually sing once a semester at a church service in the ESG. The respective date will be communicated at the beginning of the semester.
- There is one rehearsal weekend per semester, which you should attend from Friday to Sunday if possible. This date will also be communicated in good time.
- And of course, our concert weekend (1-2 concerts on Friday or Saturday). This weekend will also be communicated well in advance.
- Also there are additional events in which we participate with many people from the choir, for example the nationwide ESG choir meeting ("Einsingen").

What costs will you incur?
The majority of the costs for the ESG Bonn choir are very generously subsidized by the regional church. This allows us to keep the costs very low. Nevertheless, we
have decided that we would like to "treat" ourselves to a few things and collect a participation fee (for example, to "buy" musicians for our concerts).
The hard facts about the participation fee:
- The participation fee is charged on a semester-by-semester basis.
- It is voluntary - if you can't pay, you don't have to pay. We always find a solution in individual cases. Nobody should not be able to sing in the choir for financial reasons.
- You determine the amount of the fee yourself. We recommend € 25 for students, € 40 for working people and € 10 for those who are short of money.
What other costs are there?
- Our rehearsal weekend is also generously subsidized. The personal contribution in the summer semester 2023 was € 50.
- Acquisition costs for concert clothing depending on personal needs and taste (the "dress code" will be communicated in good time).
- Additional events (e.g. Einsingen) also incur participation fees and travel costs. However, these events are of course voluntary.
